HONOURABLE AMBASSADOR H.E

DR KUMARENDRAN BALAKRISHNAN

FOUNDER & PRESIDENT

Persatuan Kebajikan Jayam Naamnadu
Kuala Lumpur and Selangor

Greetings to Everyone!

The secret to living is giving. By contributing to the well-being of others, our communities, and the world at large, we find more meaning in life. With an unwavering passion to improve our community and the quality of their lives, to inspire and encourage the helpless people to achieve greater heights. All our activities are in line with the vision, we must help the underprivileged by providing humanitarian assistance. Jayam Namnaadu has extended much medical assistance to patients; right from the paralyzed to the mentally challenged with paid medical treatments, sponsoring adult diapers, medicines, and special milk powders as per patients’ needs.

Hailing from a multinational and multicultural nation like Malaysia, celebrations like Hari Raya, Christmas and Deepavali can’t be excluded from the agenda. Our team have taken productive initiatives to help the needy families who are living from hand to mouth basis by providing them with household necessities such as household essentials, new clothes, and cookies, to accentuate the experience of celebrating and bringing small sparks of joy to these families.

The year 2020-21 brought a new set of challenges for the non-profits around the world. COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting chaos has meant that the non-profits have had to adapt to the ever-changing dynamics of the world. In 2020, the organization helped sponsor 200 families, whereas in 2020 our sponsor increase to 350 families and for this year 2021, due to COVID – 19 Pandemic 2021 the number of families that received help in terms of grocery sponsor is increased to 500.  We also providing Deepavali aid for 550 underprivileged and needy families to enable them to experience the joys of the Deepavali festival. We have been doing this Deepavali charity for past 3 years, and last year will be our 3rd year charity with helping 550 needy families from B40 Category from 10 areas around Kula Lumpur & Selangor.

Apart from that, Our Team helped many people by creating business opportunities for those who lost their jobs. We aided and assisted these people to start a business whether it was to start catering business, to put up food stalls, so they can generate income for themselves. One remarkably astute a Chinese proverb, “Give a man a fish and you’ll feed him for a day. Teach a man how to fish, and you’ll feed him for a lifetime.” We always believe in this quote and have lighten up a bright future in many underprivileged families especially to single mothers and disable person.

We have also added some valuable members to our team to tread us on this journey and take forward our goals in the upcoming decade. These new members, I am sure, will bring in fresh ideas to take us forward on our journey.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the NGO’s Exco committee, their spouses and members for their support and effort in making the 2019-2022 a busy and successful year for the Jayam-NGO.

Thank you for your continuing support and look forward to your active participation.

“Love is not patronizing, and charity isn’t about pity, it is about love. Charity and love are the same — with charity you give love, so don’t just give money but reach out your hand instead.” ― Mother Teresa
